Cheng Bayshore

The clients wanted a glass kitchen in both satin and glossy finish.  The challenge with this space was that the sink/window wall was curved, which meant that the glass counter top had to be carefully measured to accommodate for the radius – sounds easy, but is actually quite complex, when aligning the bottom cabinets with the radius of the counter top.  It turned out beautifully – the client selected grigio smoke glass for the cabinetry with a splash of colour for the island wall.  The counter tops are all tempered glass.

Project Details

Designer: Room8 Date: December 2013 Brands: Meson’s K-Goccia Glass Kitchen

Before

The original kitchen was outdated with maple shaker-style cabinets.  It was quite large and the island needed to be shifted to accommodate a large formal dining area.

After

There is a large dining area to the left of the island.  The island countertop is glass and houses a gas cook-top and powerful downdraft to accommodate for Asian style cooking. A garage door storage conceals pots and pans and a variety of spices.
